The PIQO Smart Mini Projector offers quite a bit. It is a 1080p image at up to 240″. It is a powerful travel projector with 200 lumens output in a body that is a tiny cube measuring about 2″ x 2″. It’s powered by Android and works with Apple Airplay. It can connect to nearly any device despite being tiny compared to our 5 of the best home theater projectors list.

Android 7 Nougat is running the show with a 64 bit quad-core CPU. You can connect it to your phone, laptop and other devices either wired or wirelessly. It uses DLP technology (digital light processing) along with a long life LED light. Intrigued? I sure was. Read on to see what I thought of this tiny, but powerful projector.

Is This projector Worth It?

Let me start out by saying that it is great having a projector that just about fits in any pocket and is capable of throwing an image that big. It is a great travel companion. It is also very versatile. They packed a lot into this tiny device.

Pros:

  • Powerful
  • Image looks great
  • Versatile

Cons:

  • Onscreen control could be better

Build Quality And Design

This little cube feels nice and solid. I haven’t dropped it yet, but I get the feeling that if I did, it would probably be okay. It should be strong enough to survive everyday use. As far as design, this little projector looks sleek and shiny. It has controls on the top that are laid out simply and are easy to use: like volume up or down, home, back etc. Most of the top is reserved as a surface for you to use your finger as a mouse and control the cursor “on screen”. The design is overall really sharp.

Connectivity

The device’s true versatility comes from its connectivity. It has USB and HDMI, supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-fi. It will pair with devices no matter which operating system they use. Plus it has 16GB of built-in memory.

Other Features

It has Hi-Fi speakers, a built-in battery for up to 5 hours of runtime, a quick charge feature that has you up and running in just 15 minutes for an hour of video. There’s keystone angle auto-correction and the touch screen on top of the device.

Performance

In my tests, it performed amazingly. It boots up in under 10 seconds and you can easily choose Netflix or whatever you need. The touchscreen controls on the top work well considering how tiny the device is. As far as image quality, I was surprised at how sharp and detailed it was. It really delivers 1080p.

Bottom Line

This projector is easy to use, convenient and small. There’s a lot to love here. Especially for travelers who want entertainment. This one is worth the purchase. Small and powerful.
