On Friday, Ariana Grande celebrated her 27th birthday with a Midsommar-themed birthday bash thrown by her friends and her boyfriend, Dalton Gomez. Friday was also the day that Grande and Gomez went Instagram official.

The above photo was one of several that Grande included in her initial birthday post, but on Saturday, she sneaked in a couple others. One photo is of Gomez kissing Grande on her cheek while in a close embrace:

This one is of them in a full-on kiss:

In May, Gomez and Grande made their debut as a couple in Grande's video for "Stuck With You." She'd kept her new relationship quiet for a reason. In April, she spoke about why she likes to keep her private life private: "Sharing special, personal life things that make u happy on the internet can be truly traumatic. I know I've taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones and myself."

A source told Entertainment Tonight that the singer has been keeping her relationship private because of how public her past romances were.

"Ariana has had some hesitation being so public about her relationship with Dalton as she’s seen how that has worn on her past relationships [like with Pete Davidson and Mac Miller]," the source said

A source told People that Grande and Gomez have been dating since January and have been spending much of quarantine together.

"Ariana is staying at home with friends. She is very serious about self-distancing and has been with the same group of people for days," the source said. "One of the people she is with right now is Dalton—they have been hanging out for a couple of months. Ariana doesn't want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton."
