Twitter wasn't the only place people were frustrated by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's decision to get dangerously close to kissing multiple times during their VMAs performance of "Señorita" but never go all the way in. Celebrities in the crowd at the MTV VMAs were invested too.
While the main show broadcast didn't show all their reactions, audience cameras caught the reactions of Sophie Turner, Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas. They WANTED that kiss. Joe shared the video of them and expressed his disappointment to all of Instagram it didn't happen. "VMAs are over, but we’re still waiting for that kiss tho ? @camila_cabello @shawnmendes," he wrote. It is wild how emotional it got for them:
Taylor Swift's reaction was just as good. Her hand was on her heart, her mouth was wide open, and she appeared to be say "oh shit" while watching:
Mendes and Cabello showed plenty of PDA during the VMAs though, even though they opted not to kiss during the show. They cuddled in the audience; they held hands backstage. It was very clear they were a couple.
The two were all in on their relationship, and that's a state they've been in for a month. "The timing wasn't right before but it is right right now," a source told E! in July. "They are going for it without holding back. This step in their relationship is exciting for them both. They haven't wanted to be apart at all. It's 24/7 and all out at this point."
